A September engagement session at Hotel Emeline

When Melissa and I began discussing engagement session ideas, she mentioned that she wanted to shoot for an editorial, date night feel - so it was only natural that the interior of Hotel Emeline would be our starting point!

The Mid Century Modern design was the perfect complement for Melissa’s fashion sense - we got a drink at the bar, a coffee in the lounge, and finished the session with some evening photos in front of the historic facade.

The lobby of Hotel Emeline is my go-to suggestion for shoots on cold or rainy days (or, even when it’s too hot out!). The majority of the photos below were shot on medium-format film, and processed by Photovision in Salem, Oregon.
